Fox and Hounds in Neasham has finally reopened under new ownership.
Now owned by Kreft Holdings, who also own The Bridge Inn, The Pennyweight and The Mowden, Fox and Hounds reopened on Tuesday, March 19.
The popular Darlington pub originally closed its doors with immediate effect in October 2023, after months of "failed negotiations".
Since then they have undergone inside and outside refurbishment which includes a new jungle gym playground, riverside garden, state-of-the-art kitchen, a butcher's counter, outside bar, cellar refurbishment and a purpose-built river access path.
Announcing their reopening, a spokesperson from Fox and Hounds said: “Guess who’s back with a brand-new look! Wow, now that was a task & a half! Restoring a legendary pub back to greatness! Your pub is back Neasham!”
According to their social media, The Fox and Hounds have had an extremely successful opening and through a post on Facebook, they announced that they had served 1154 meals and 112 dog meals, and a complete sell-out Sunday carvery in their first week of opening.
