Kleek Apprenticeships, the Darlington-based national provider of specialist hair and beauty apprenticeships has taken over BL Hairdressing.
BL Hairdressing, a long-standing provider in the North East's hair training sector, was brought into Kleek Apprenticeships with their academies rebranding as Kleek Academy Newcastle and Kleek Academy Stockton, alongside Kleek’s existing North East Kleek Academy and Head Office)in Darlington.
The addition of BL Hairdressing’s apprentices and staff allows Kleek to extend its outstanding academy-based training to more salons across County Durham, Teesside, Tyneside, and Wearside.

“Hair and beauty training has strong roots in the North East. BL Hairdressing began back in 1986, whilst Kleek Apprenticeships (formerly Saks Education) was founded in 1999 and has been at the forefront of hair and beauty training since it achieved its Ofsted Outstanding rating in 2006 and again in 2021 – the rating it still holds today.”
The new academies will be fully operational under the Kleek brand from next month, and throughout February, will be offering free cut or colour services.
