TENNICK 8th June, peacefully after a short illness, Ruby (nee Hillary) aged 95 years, of Bishop Auckland, beloved wife of the late Jack, much loved mam of Leigh and mother-in-law of George, a dear sister, aunty and good friend to many. Will friends please meet for service on Wednesday 21st June at 10:30 a.m. at Wear Valley Crematorium, Coundon. Family flowers only please.Tributes

We were so sad to hear Aunty Ruby had passed away. She was a fantastic lady who would do anything to help and she will be sadly missed. As a child I always loved visiting her and uncle Jack and I have lost count of all the clothes alterations they did for me as a child and in my adult life. Until the last few years she would pass our old house on Warkworth Ave on a Saturday morning and she would stop for a chat asking about us and our children. A beautiful lady inside and out who was worth her weight in gold 🩷
