HYLAND Marie Therese, formerly of High Startforth, died peacefully in hospital on 19th March, aged 85 years. Beloved wife of the late Bill and a dear friend. Funeral Service at Holy Trinity Church, Startforth on Monday 17th April at 2.30pm, followed by private cremation. Friends please meet at the church. No flowers please. Donations if desired for Cancer Research UK (Teesdale Branch), may be sent in cheque form care of John Blenkiron and Sons, Funeral Directors, 19 Galgate, Barnard Castle DL12 8EQ

Remembering Mrs. Hyland when she worked at Bishop Auckland Hospital. She was head of Maternity, and loved her fags.!!!! I was invited to meet her when my husband worked at Deerbolt. We went to a cafe in B/C, and then back to the RedHouse. I RECALL her husband Bill having a heart transplant. He was a lovely man She is somebody that will always stick in my mind.
